Generations of the Howard family have welcomed visitors to Castle Howard, one of Britain’s finest historic houses, for over 300 years.
Marvel at the unique architectural design of the 18th century house with its contrasting baroque and palladian wings and dramatic dome, inside world renowned works of art sit amid lavish interiors. The 1,000 acres of parkland incorporate rolling lawns, lakes, fountains, temples, woodland, ornamental walled garden and children’s playground.
A range of shops and cafes provide plenty of opportunity to treat yourself; the stable courtyard with free admission includes a farm shop, cafe and coffee shop, gift shop and garden centre.
